Our partnership with AlexStrong began when we were introduced to Chris by one of our brand ambassadors. Emails and Direct Messages on Instagram were exchanged. Chris and I began dreaming big during our very first phone conversation and our visions for where we wanted our businesses to go aligned in perfect fashion. Though we have big plans/dreams for the future, we fully understand that we must start small. But we also believe that we can make a massive impact in people's lives with small acts of kindness. From the very start, 1440 has always been about connecting people with fresh roasted, specialty coffee and Chris and Erin would be able to get our coffee to people who truly deserve it. This would prove to be a tougher task than originally planned due to hospital regulations and the added stress of a pandemic. .
Together we have accomplished so much in such a short time Chris has taken it upon himself to brew massive amounts of coffee at home and then hand deliver it to the HemeOnc Clinic and to the floor of the hospital where our heroes go for their in-patient stays. Our newest endeavor includes building New Patient Care Packages that include our coffee, an Aeropress Go, water kettle, blankets, towels, and fun items for our heroes. We have plans to include more items in the future.

We recently partnered with Chris and Julia LaBeause from #StoryTime Project after learning about their mission through a mutual friend. #StoryTime Project was created to be proactive in preventing veteran suicide by establishing a set date and time to reach out to active servicemen/women and veterans. The idea is to let them know that they are not alone and that it's okay to not be okay.
It didn't take long for us to decide that we wanted to help. So we reached out and created a signature roast for #STP and have pledge to donate $2 with every bag we sell. The donations will go to sponsoring veterans who want to participate in athletic competitions (Crossfit, weightlifting, etc) and hunting trips which promote healthy outlets for vets.
We are proud to be part of such a great mission and we hope that you will join us in supporting Chris and Julia and the many vets they work with. Grab a bag of the #StoryTime Roast today and enjoy!
Stronger Together was founded by our good friend DJ Mullet from Ohio. DJ was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 25 years old, which is uncommon for T1D to be diagnosed so late in life. But instead of me recreating his story, I want you to read it directly from him.
"So why Stronger Together? Stronger Together is more of an idea, it’s a tribe of people seeking to love on the diabetic community and beyond! The phrase along with the hashtag “type1strong” stemmed out of several conversations I had with my friends Alana, Jason, Jess, Seb, Kelsey, Trenton, Nicole, Abigail and countless others within the Street Parking community back in 2019 who for the first time in my life inquired about what it truly was like living with type 1. For the first time in 8 years I didn't feel alone in the struggle. I have always felt that humankind has been created to be relational! I feel we are at our peak and thriving when we are actively engaged in real life giving relationships with the people that are around us. We are so much stronger together than what we can ever be separate. Type 1 is my struggle, but I guarantee you that you have your own as well."
$2 of every bag of our Chasing Unicorns roast will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund which is doing amazing work in helping people manage their Type 1.
Yet another amazing organization that is doing great work with our veterans, active duty military and first responder communities.
"We provide an avenue for active duty, veterans and first responders to cope with the invisible scars from their previous and continued service. We know that wounds go beyond blood and can occur in many ways: during service campaigns on foreign soil all the way to daily service in our communities.
We believe that fitness and community can be a powerful means to cope with life together.
We partner with individuals, entire departments, other non-profits and their communities to foster a strong support system that sweats together, for each other, to heal deep wounds.
Our goal is to go beyond coping. To thrive. Together."
$2 of every bag sold of our Vetwod Roast will be donated directly to Vetwod in order to support their mission.
